LongBridge FormsV2/3 PLSQL Parser

This is an Automation Tool that is used as part of our Oracle Forms Conversion Service. It allows Oracle Forms with V2-style Triggers and/or older V3 Built-Ins to be converted with 100% accuracy into PL/SQL code and New Built-Ins. Newer source files generated from the conversion can then be migrated to the desired Oracle Forms version for subsequent deployment as Client/Server (6i) or Web-based (9i/10g) Oracle Forms applications.

Notably Oracle Forms applications that had been written to run as character-mode applications, namely those applications developed using SQL*Forms V2 or V3, are easily converted with the resultant triggers now containing PL/SQL code. Instead of manual conversion that can take up to 1 day per Form, the use of this Parser allows thousands of forms to be converted in just a few hours to expedite the entire process of subsequently transforming these "legacy" applications into the latest, modernized and user-friendly Client/Server or Web-based applications.

The conversion takes place with NO change to existing functionality and business logic of the original Forms. The entire migration process strictly adheres to Oracle's Best Practices and in conformance to our well-proven methodology for upgrading Oracle Forms applications. The migrated code can be maintained by the client for future enhancements and modifications.

LongBridge DeveloperSmartSuite

This is an Oracle Forms Application Lifecycle Management Tool, developed using Oracle Forms/Reports and JDAPI, providing modules to automate many of the manual tasks required for:

• Migration of previous versions of any Oracle Forms/Reports application from 2.x, 3.x, 4.5, 5.0, 6.x, 9i to 10gR2
• Transformation of existing applications from an inconsistent look & feel to a standardized & consistent layout
• Maintenance of existing applications to apply massive changes to existing Oracle Forms Modules
• Auto-Generation of New Oracle Forms applications to produce the desired number of forms that contains the required screen layout template, with the necessary screen items for database table(s) automatically placed within the forms
• Integration of modules to link either Migration or Auto-Generation process to Transformation and/or Maintenance process(es)

LongBridge RPT PLSQL Parser

This is an Automation Tool that is used as part of our SQL*Report Conversion Service. It allows SQL*Report's RPT (Oracle's first Report Generation language) to be converted with 100% accuracy into PL/SQL Stored Procedures. The output files generated from the conversion can then be compiled within the desired Oracle Database version for subsequent deployment as PL/SQL Reports for versions 8 and higher.

Report output generated is an exact identical match to the original and can be in Text, HTML or PDF format. HTML Reports can be further customized to make full use of HTML Tags, CSS, etc. The converted reports can be called from any front-end application such as Oracle Forms applications, which will display the generated output of these reports within the same application or in a separate web browser window, when deployed as part of a Client/Server or Web-based application. Instead of manual conversion that can take up to 1 day per RPT program, the use of this Parser allows thousands of programs to be converted in just a few hours to expedite the entire process of subsequently transforming these "legacy" applications into the latest, modernized and user-friendly Client/Server or Web-based applications.

With our RPT PL/SQL Parser, we are able to quickly transform any RPT program into the latest, modernized and user-friendly Client/Server or Web-based Oracle Reports program. Hundreds of character-mode reports written in RPT can be quickly converted into PL/SQL procedures, from which we can quickly transform these old legacy Report programs to the latest web-based Oracle Reports using our own in-house tools.
